What sets Metis Industries spindles apart from other spindles is their physics and how they were designed. These spindles are designed to spin for a long time. This is because their moment of inertia is high. Because the whorls are 3D printed, they are precisely weighted and this contributes to the balance of our spindles. Further, they were created with math. I use a program called OpenSCAD to write the code to generate the whorls for 3D printing. Up in the photos section, you can see the 3D generated image of the whorl.
The shaft is mineraloil treated oak. It is ready to paint, just waiting for you to unleash your imagination!
